Today I turned in my build plans to the carpenter. I met him at a great little coffee house on Main Street in Dallas. I do not remember the name but it was, in my opinion the coolest coffee house in Dallas, sorry big coffee chain. It reminded of the Orange Couch Coffee in New Orleans. Across the street is a theatre called Undermain. They call it Undermain because it is literally under Main Street. I received a little impromptu tour of the space after showing him my plans, he is on staff here. The Broadway award winning set designer, John Arnone, has his latest design up at this theatre. A fun little fact about the seating in subterranean space are the seats, they were originally designed for the Kalita Humphries Theatre designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Check out their latest show The Ghost of Sonata opening this weekend.
