A baby grand piano in Mall Mart This post is not theatre related at all, however it is design related. I went to the grocery store last night to...well grocery shop and when I entered the store, I can't mention the stores real name, what do I see, a baby grand piano surrounded by wine, tacky red tinsel and not so very yellow Christmas paper complete with an orange do not slip on the floor and try and sue us sign. This is most odd because this store that I can't mention, let's call it Mall Mart, attracts the bargain shopper. Keep in mind there is nothing wrong with the bargain shopper, just like me I like to get a good price. So are they saying with this display that you can buy discount wine and serve it while your pianist, that you hired, can have a grand old time? Or are they saying, hey it's the holiday time buy a bunch of cheap booze and have a Merry Christmas. Not sure.
