Thank you to the twenty countries who have visited my website this month! Keep reading and sending me your emails!
This post coming from my new Windows 8 touch screen Dell computer. Little tricky though!
Going to see Peter and the Starcatcher tonight at the Winspear Opera House! Can't wait to see the set design by Donyale Werle. Check out her site. Her set design looks similar in color to my Sound of Fanny set.
My Spamalot set is coming along. Saturday will be another eight hour day with the help of one master carpenter and three other carpenters. The set will be epic! Can't wait to see the projections that will flash across the set!
Below were my renderings on watercolor paper. Click one to enlarge. Get tickets here! I got to see Condoleeza Rice and Laura Bush in person today on my Birthday! I also received a wonderful Birthday lunch, Brian, my friend, made lunch for all extra special with beautiful appetizers and an incredible dessert, thank you for your friendship and making today special.
The oval office was really neat to see. By the way this was at the George Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. The oval office was completely recreated down to the last detail. The center has state of the art technology. I recommend this place if your liberal or conservative. Click on a picture below to enlarge. Thank you to Alexandra Bonifield for a little shout out in the 2013 DFW Theatre Critics' Forum Awards. Made my day even better. Could not have had a better day! Today I turn 30! I really don't feel 30 at all.
The security lady at work looked at me and said, "Baby, what your turning 15?" Thank you security lady! I'm excited that my carpenter, for Spamalot, is excited to build the wooden rabbit. He said he also wanted to build this thing and now he gets to. If you look at posts from earlier last week you can see the wooden rabbit in the pictures of the model. If you have no idea what I am talking about you will have to come and see the show. Click here for more information.
Bought a really cool little Bluetooth portable speaker the other day. This little guy packs a big punch. I can hear it throughout my apartment clear as day. I also bought its big brother to hook up to the tv. Big Blue, the name of the speaker, has two speakers and a subwoofer built into it.
The design is interesting, it reminds me of a modern gadget from the mid 1950's yet it looks new with it's chrome/plastic button that blinks blue, hence the name, Big Blue. I highly recommend these devices. The small speaker will run you about a hundred bucks and the larger about one hundred eighty bucks, but I think you will love it. Also note the little speaker works with your phone. Clicki on the speaker below to check it out. |
My blog is all about the design process, set design, designers I love and architecture. Take a look behind the curtain!
